Favorite Bible Verse: Joshua 1:2 when God said to Joshua, "Moses my servant is dead. Now then, you and all these people get ready to cross the Jordan River into a land I am about to give to them-to the Israelites." This scripture really resonates with me because God is telling Joshua that the past is the past. Without moving past it, the Israelites would have never witnessed God's greatest glory. God is telling us we can't live life in a rear view mirror, and we must steer our ships by the stars not the wakes of life. When we do we too, will witness God's greatest glory.
When asked how serving with Mission Alive emanates from or fulfills his calling, Mr. Penn says, "As I have witnessed for several years being on the board, there is a common denominator for all those who are associated with Mission Alive. The common denominator is that these men and women truly believe God. We all believe in God, but few truly believe God. Mission Alive is a vast partnership of people of faith who believe the promises of God, even in discouraging times. It is this common denominator that called me to Mission Alive, and continues to keep me inspired to be a part of this great ministry."
